Lesser celandine ( Ficaria verna) is an invasive plant species with beautiful bright yellow flowers and dark green leaves. Lesser trefoil usually emerges between June and October, with odd seedlings appearing at any time of year. When grown in an apple orchard the fruits produced can be tastier. Remove all berries and flowers and bag them and toss in the trash. There are 3 flights in the North and 4 to 5 flights in the South. Because of this, it's not a good idea to spray vinegar over your lawn weeds, for risk of damaging the actual turf. If you try to dig it up and miss a tuber or even break a tuber, the piece left in the ground can generate a new plant. With the vinegar it might not,because you have to use it straight to kill it and it will kill grass too.
